Snowman Countdown

Snowmen are my favorite Christmas decoration.  So this year I decided to make a Christmas countdown in the shape of a snowman.

Here is a quick tutorial on how to make one yourself too!  I started with two photo cubes: 1 large and 1 small and one rotating photo cube with shape cutouts.  I painted each one white.

Once everything was painted I covered the inner cube with snow related scrapbook paper.

Then I Mod Podged!

Then I put the cubes together and added the numbers.. Mine only counts down from 24 days so I only used numbers 0, 1, 2  and 3 for the top square.
Next I traced and cutout the shape of some snowflakes that I had.  Then I Mod Podged them and added the numbers.  For the larger block I used numbers 0,1,2,3 and 4.

I then made arms for my snowman with silver pipe cleaners and I made him a pair of mittens so his hands wouldn't get cold!
Then I made a happy snowman face on the smallest photo cube.
Lastly I added a scarf, buttons and a hat.  The hat I upcycled from an old sign that had gotten damaged over the years.
So here he is all done and ready to countdown to Christmas!

And one more shot!

I made this while I was home suffering from a horrible sinus infection.  So now that he's done I think I am going to take a nap!
